The Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Elevation: 1,400 m

Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. Meet your trekking guide for a briefing about the trek and preparation of permits and equipment.

Highlight: Introduction to Nepal and preparation for the Everest adventure.

Day 2: Fly Kathmandu → Lukla → Trek to Phakding

Distance: ~8 km
Elevation: 2,860 m → 2,610 m
Trek Time: 3–4 hrs

Take a scenic flight to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. After landing, begin trekking through Sherpa villages and forests along the Dudh Koshi River before reaching Phakding.

Highlight: Spectacular Himalayan flight to Lukla.

Day 3: Phakding → Namche Bazaar

Distance: ~11 km
Elevation: 2,610 m → 3,440 m
Trek Time: 6–7 hrs

The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River and crosses several suspension bridges before entering Sagarmatha National Park. A steep climb leads to Namche Bazaar, the main trading hub of the Khumbu region.

Highlight: First distant view of Mount Everest.

Day 4: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

Elevation: 3,440 m

Short acclimatization hikes to Everest View Hotel or nearby Sherpa villages provide spectacular views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse.

Highlight: Panoramic views of the Everest range.

Day 5: Namche Bazaar → Tengboche

A scenic trail along the mountainside offers stunning views of Ama Dablam before descending to the river and climbing to Tengboche Monastery, the spiritual center of the Khumbu region.

Highlight: Visit the famous Tengboche Monastery.

Day 6: Tengboche → Dingboche

Distance: ~11 km
Elevation: 3,860 m → 4,410 m
Trek Time: 5–6 hrs

The trail descends through forests before climbing toward Dingboche, a beautiful high-altitude village surrounded by stone-walled fields.

Highlight: Incredible views of Ama Dablam and Island Peak.

Day 7: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche

Elevation: 4,410 m

A short hike to Nangkartshang Peak helps with acclimatization and offers spectacular views of the Makalu and Lhotse ranges.

Highlight: One of the best viewpoints in the Khumbu valley.

Day 8: Dingboche → Lobuche

Distance: ~8 km
Elevation: 4,410 m → 4,940 m

The trail climbs gradually through glacial valleys and passes memorial monuments dedicated to Everest climbers before reaching Lobuche.

Highlight: Walking alongside the Khumbu Glacier.

Day 9: Lobuche → Everest Base Camp → Gorakshep

Distance: ~15 km
Elevation: 4,940 m → 5,364 m → 5,164 m
Trek Time: 7–8 hrs

Today you reach the legendary Everest Base Camp, located beside the massive Khumbu Icefall. After celebrating at base camp, return to Gorakshep for the night.

Highlight: Standing at the base of Mount Everest.

Day 10: Gorakshep → Kala Patthar → Pheriche

Distance: ~13 km
Elevation: 5,164 m → 5,545 m → 4,240 m

Early morning hike to Kala Patthar, offering the best close-up views of Everest and the surrounding Himalayan giants. Descend afterward toward Pheriche.

Highlight: Sunrise view from Kala Patthar.

Day 11: Pheriche → Namche Bazaar

Distance: ~15 km
Elevation: 4,240 m → 3,440 m

Descend through alpine valleys and forests back to Namche Bazaar.

Highlight: Warmer climate and lush landscapes return.

Day 12: Namche Bazaar → Lukla

Distance: ~19 km

The final trekking day follows the Dudh Koshi valley back to Lukla.

Day 13: Fly Lukla → Kathmandu

Take the scenic mountain flight back to Kathmandu.

Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu

Transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
