The Itinerary Details

DAY 1 (DARJEELING – MANEBHANJANG – TUMLING) 

This is the start of our trek, we start by car from darjeeling to a village on the international border of India and Nepal named Manebhanjang, we stop here for some tea and then start to walk towards chitrey , in about 2 hours we reach chitrey where we sit for breakfast and enjoy some classic buddist architecture i.e., monasteries . we resume our walk towards tumling which will be a fair 4-5 hours walk. we walk between dense forests and uphill and by sunset we will reach our stop for the day and enjoy the beautiful sunset with a hot cup of tea in our hand. we walked for 13km to call it off a day. 

DAY 2 (TUMLING – KALPOKHRI ) 

In the morning we enjoy the sunrise from tumling view point and its the 1st time we get a glance of the megestic Mt. Kanchenjunga and also its family famously known as THE SLEEPING BUDDHA. We then start our walk after having a traditional Tibetan breakfast. It will be a 13 km walk today and will walk between India and Nepal . Kalpokhri is famous for its HOLY LAKE, guests often feel some inner peace while sitting beside the lake. This day we have our meals in India and sleep in Nepal ( details will be given during the trek). 

DAY 3 ( KALPOKHRI – SANDAKPHU) 

Today is the day when we enter THE LAND OF POISIONS, we walk to reach the highest point of our trek i.e., SANDAKPHU it is also the highest point of west bengal. we walk for 6km today. The main attraction of this spot is the 180-degree panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks, one of the world’s most coveted panoramas. Makalu, Lhotse, Everest, Nuptse, Baruntse, Chamling, Chomolonzo, Machapucchare and 

other peaks of the Annapurna range spread out towards the west. Three sister peaks stand tall towards the north and of course, the Sleeping Buddha lies before you. Towards the east, you see the highest ranges of Bhutan, where Chomolhari the highest peak, rises above all the others. 

DAY 4(SANDAKPHU – PHALUT) 

As in tumling we get up early in the morning and climb to the summit of Sandakphu and enjoy the sunrise from the top, the view is something you will remember for the rest of your life. we then start our walk towards the most difficult route of the trek we have to walk 21km to reach Phalut. on the way we get a panaromic view of the Himalayas, Everest on our left and Kanchenjunga on the right. Phalut shows the real struggle for survival. we even get to see Darjeeling and Kersong from here. 

DAY 5(PHALUT – GORKHEY ) 

Its a 15km downhill trek, we go through dense Bamboo forest. Gorkhey is a small settlement on the river bank it will be the last night of our trek. Here we enjoy the beauty of being surrounded by dense pine tree forest and the sound of river flowing day and night. 

DAY 6(GORKHEY – TIMBUREY ) 

Today we are heading towards home towards the last stay of the trip. This day we trek to a small village above Sirikhola named Timburey which is a total of 21kms, where you will get the feel of home far away from home. 

DAY 7 (TIMBUREY – DARJEELING/SILIGURI) 

This is the last day of our trek, today we hike for an hour towards srikhola where a car will be waiting to take us towards the madding crowd. with moist eyes and happy memories we say goodbye to the HIMALAYAS and wait till we meet again.

  1. Taxi fare from Darjeeling to Manebhanjang and from Srikhola to Darjeeling 
  2. Accomodation in good and hyginic Home Stays or in tents depending on the weather conditions 
  3. Breakfast, Lunch, Tea , Snacks and Dinner.

  6. First Aid box carried by our guide.
